Donate Books & Materials

We graciously accept donations of books and materials at South Shore Public Libraries with the exception of textbooks, magazines, newspapers, and encyclopedias.Items in our collection get a lot of love, so donated items need to be in excellent condition! However, we are unable to use some items. To learn more about donating books, please call 902-543-2548.

Materials we cannot use may be sent to our partner Better World Books (BWB). We receive money from BWB and use that to purchase more new books. BWB uses a portion of their net proceeds to support literacy initiatives and libraries internationally.
