Writer and Brandeis University scholar Naomi Myrvaagnes will lead discussion of two short stories. We will enjoy looking at the human relationships in the stories and also scrutinize authorial moves and choices.
For both Andrea Barrett‘s “The Behaviour of the Hawkweeds” and Alice Munro‘s “Family Furnishings“, we will analyze and speculate: Where do these stories ‘come from’? How do writers put together these complex architectures? How do the writers and texts work their magic on the reader?
