Food Made Simple: Basic Knife Skills

June 14 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Slicing your food into the proper shape is an
integral part of preparing a meal. However, not all
knives are created equal, and technique matters
almost as much as the blade. Join Nick Moase as
he demonstrates how to properly use your chef’s
knife, learn about the different types of knives
and what to look for when buying them. Nick will
also discuss storage, sharpening and cleaning
your blade to keep it in top condition. Nick
attended the Culinary Institute of Canada,
Charlottetown and has a passion for cooking as a
home chef. This is a hands-on workshop, please
bring your own 8 inch chef’s knife if you have one.
