The inaugural I READ CANADIAN DAY is a national day of celebration of Canadian books for young people. This is a day dedicated to ‘reading Canadian’ and to raising awareness of Canadian books and celebrating the richness, diversity and breadth of Canadian literature. Books by Canadian authors will be on display in each library, and we have a challenge for kids: list 10 or more Canadian authors on the challenge sheet, and then read as many as you can – if you read at least 5 Canadian books, you win a prize!
