Policy on Confidentiality of Library Records
All library records which identify patrons by name are confidential. Such records will not be made available to any individual or to any agency of government except with the explicit permission of the patron concerned or pursuant to subpoena or court order.
On receipt of such a subpoena or court order, Library officials will consult with legal counsel to determine if the subpoena or order is in proper form; if not, they will insist that any defects be cured before acting on it.
